Pseudoxanthomonas_suwonensis
Names Pseudoxanthomonas suwonensis 11-1
Accession numbers NC_014924
Background Pseudoxanthomonas suwonensis (strain 11-1) is an aerobic, non-spore-forming Gram-negative bacterium isolated from cotton waste compost. Cells are motile rods, generally 0.3-0.5 x 61.2-3.0 mm in size, occurring singly. Colonies are round, yellow and convex with entire margins. Temperature range for growth is 10-45 degrees Celsius and optimal temperature is 30 degrees Celsius. Growth occurs in the pH range of 6.0-8.0 and in the presence of up to 5% (w/v) NaCl. It may produce compounds of industrial importance. (Adapted from PMID: 16514045). (EBI Integr8)
