Colwellia psychrerythraea 34H

Colwellia_psychrerythraea
Names Colwellia psychrerythraea 34H
Accession numbers NC_003910
Background Colwellia psychrerythraea has been isolated from Arctic marine sediments. Maximum cell yield is achieved at subzero temperature (-1 degree Celsius). Cells continue to swim in sugar solutions down to -10 degrees Celsius and they can grow under deep-sea pressures. It produces cold-active enzymes with low temperature optima for activity and marked heat instability. (HAMAP: COLP3)
